Army Day of DPRK Observed in Various Countries

Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Colorful events took place in different countries from April 20 to 27 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Korean People's Army. A meeting was held in Cuba, a get-together in Poland, reading session and film show in Ethiopia and film shows in Guinea and Russia. A vice-minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba who is member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba noted that the founding of the KPA marked a new landmark in the history of the Korean people and the world revolutionary movement, adding that the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK developed into invincible armed forces capable of defeating any formidable enemy at a single blow. The chairman of the Association for Preserving the Tradition of the Polish People's Army noted that President Kim Il Sung was a genuine popular statesman and outstanding strategist dedicated to the founding and strengthening of the powerful revolutionary armed forces capable of firmly guaranteeing the security of the people and the prosperity of the country. The chairman said that rosy is the future of Korea as Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un is further bolstering up the KPA into powerful revolutionary armed forces, carrying forward the causes of the preceding leaders. The deputy manager of the water project designing and supervising enterprise in Ethiopia noted that Kimilsungia is an immortal flower which came into bloom thanks to the boundless reverence of the world progressives for the President, adding that the flower will blossom in Ethiopia and all other parts of the world. The commander of the Kindia detached unit of commando force of Guinea noted that the KPA founded by the President is demonstrating its might as a matchless and invincible army thanks to the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, stressing that no force on earth can match the KPA in the aspects of politics and ideology and military technique. DPRK films shown included "Reply of Korea" and "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation". |
