Lee Myung Bak's Anti-DPRK Confrontation Policy Bound to Go Bust: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors ceaselessly committed heinous crimes of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, thereby plunging the north-south relations into the worst catastrophe and exposing the destiny of the nation to growing threats, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a bylined article. The prevailing critical situation is an inevitable product of the anti-DPRK confrontation policy pursued by the Lee group, the article says, and goes on: It is natural for the north and south to pool their efforts in their struggle to gain the sovereignty of the nation, and bright future of independent reunification lies in improving the north-south relationship. But the Lee group opted for confrontation and escalated tension, not improvement of the north-south relations, independent reunification and peaceful prosperity. The group of traitors fostered antagonism, distrust and confrontation between the north and the south in violation of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. The successive fascist rulers of south Korea found their way out of destructions in escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen and provoking a war. The ultimate design of traitor Lee's confrontation policy is also to provoke a war against the DPRK in collusion with outside forces. The reality clearly shows that the Lee group of traitors would not hesitate to provoke a fresh war in a bid to realize its sinister design, indifferent to the destiny of the country and nation. Anti-DPRK confrontation policy will never help the group of traitors escape from its ruling crisis. Seeing the Lee group of traitors keen on confrontation moves, the Korean nation is picturing its tragic doomsday. |
