Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Il, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned.

German Hermin Ferras Alvarez said in his speech that Kim Il Sung will clarify the way of defending the prosperity and sovereignty of the country while being always alive with the Korean people.

The Korean people have made great advance under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, true to the cause of leader Kim Jong Il, he said, and went on:

The Cuban people will always stand by the Korean people carrying on the struggle for socialist construction and the sovereignty and reunification of the country.

Yang Hyong Sop in his speech said that every year the Cuban people celebrate the Day of the Sun with the Korean people, adding that this is a reflection of their deep reverence for the President.

The President performed immortal feats to shine in history with his profound ideology and theory and dynamic revolutionary practice, he added.

The DPRK government will consolidate and develop the militant friendship and bond of cooperation with Cuba on the basis of the revolutionary and comradely obligation, he concluded.
