On sale in the three-storey shop are various species of fresh fish and meat and processed products. It also houses a roast meat serving restaurant.

The shop came into being under the deep care of leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The leader had the meat and fish shop built in Pothongmun Street on the occasion of the national day last year and initiated building such kind of shops in various parts of the city.

True to his lifetime instructions, Kim Jong Un personally chose the building site and gave field guidance to the construction project in January and March this year.

On April 25, the birthday of the Korean People's Army, he went to the shop to congratulate its opening, advancing tasks for its good management.

The modernly-built shop is in good harmony with the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower nearby it, adding beauty to the scenery of the river and the Hero Street.

The shop's building looks like a ship in the river or a swimming fish. The shop also has an out-door soft drink stand.

It draws many citizens as it is situated in a place easy of access.

Ri Jong Gap, a 48-year-old man living in Moranbong District, told KCNA:

"The shop makes me feel strong yearning for the leader who devoted his all to the wellbeing of the people."

Choe Chang Ok, manager of the shop, said:

"I am very proud of working here to serve people. I will work hard to render creditable services to citizens."
