Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in an editorial.

It is the wish of the WPK to see all the officials, party members and working people advance under the uplifted banner of Kim Jong Il's patriotism, the editorial notes, and goes on.

Now that the politics of love for the people and benevolent politics of the WPK are enforced in all spheres at a new high phase, officials cannot do their work well as intended by the party without having the spirit of devoted service to the people.

Only when they always find themselves among the masses, can they have an opportunity to know well about the frame of mind of people and devotedly serve them.

They should make redoubled efforts, bearing in mind the viewpoint that the people should be let sit on flower-patterned cushions while they should allow themselves to sit on thorns and being aware that they should make an arduous march while letting the people conduct a cheerful one.

They should rack their brain to make a substantial contribution to improving the people's living standard by working in such a way as to make anything more favored by people when approaching anything, planning and undertaking any job and producing even a single item of consumer goods.

They should seek more good things for the people in their residential areas, in their fields and at their work sites and effectively carry them out.

The editorial calls upon all the officials to become ones required by the drive for improving the people's living standard and true servants of the people loved by the leader and the people by devoting themselves to them and earnestly and skillfully doing anything for them.
