The symposium was divided into panels of ideology, theory and strategy of education, theory of basic education, contents and method of education in social science, contents and method of education in natural science and education information.

Presented to the symposium were at least 250 excellent papers on the achievements made by teachers, researchers and officials in studying educational science.

Among them were papers dealing with various matters arising in developing educational science as required by the trend of developing science and technology and asserting that the application of visual aid demonstration means to chemical experiments is an education method for increasing students' ability of cognition and practice.

They drew the attention of its participants for their great practical significance.
