Iran's IRGC Ground Forces to Hold Military Drill

| Tehran, May 15 (KCNA) -- A senior Iranian commander said on Sunday that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces plan to hold three-day massive military maneuvers in northeastern parts of the country, the local satellite Press TV reported. "This military drill, dubbed Ja'far Tayyar, will be held with the purpose of maintaining the preparedness and promoting the combat capability of the units stationed in the region," deputy commander for operation of the IRGC Ground Forces Gholam-Ali Gholamian was quoted as saying. The three-day drill would open in Iran's eastern province of South Khorasan on Monday. |
