Pyongyangites planted more than 2,464,000 trees of good species including dawn redwood, zelkova and ginkgo in streets, parks and recreation grounds this spring.

On the significant Day of the Sun there appeared at least 600 flower stands and some 1,000 flower fields.

In a few days of this month, they planted hundreds of thousands of flower plants, turned a large area into greenery and carried out weeding in lawns of hundreds of hectares.
