Attended by some 270 companies from various countries and regions, including the DPRK, China and Germany, the fair put on display more than 2,100 kinds of products in various economic fields.

Kim Mun Jong, director of the Korean International Exhibition Corporation, told KCNA:

"The Pyongyang Spring International Trade Fair exhibits up-to-date technologies and products in industrial and agricultural and light industrial fields.

The fair, which is held in Pyongyang in springs and autumns, has developed year on year in its scale and quality.

This current fair boasted of hundreds of standardized compartments on the first and second floors, along with open-air displays. Attractions were CNC-based machine tools, electric and electronic apparatuses, vehicular units, petrol-chemical products, medicines, daily necessities and foodstuffs.

Arrangements of exhibits took on new looks and trade counsels had got momentum.

Many businessmen from Asia and Europe expressed their willingness to invigorate economic and trade dealings with the DPRK."
