She was born as the first daughter of a day-laborer in Koryo-dong, Kaesong City. She lost her parents in her early years and suffered all sorts of maltreatment and contempt under the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists and the military occupation by the U.S. imperialists.

Only after she came to the DPRK founded by President Kim Il Sung she could lead a genuine life. She has six sons and many grandchildren.

She worked as a nurse of nursery for decades. After becoming pensioner she worked at the workshop for light workers till she turned 80.

She likes boiled rice and cereals, vegetables and fruits. She is optimistic and in good health.

She asks her children and grandchildren to work hard for the socialist country.
