The south Korean puppet warmongers staged large-scale joint air battle exercise Max Thunder with the U.S. imperialists in the sky over the area west of the Korean Peninsula from May 7 to 18 with an aim to "examine the readiness for immediate counteraction in contingency". They said that they would also take part in the more than a month-long RIMPAC joint military drill led by the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces to be staged in Hawaii soon.

Their evermore reckless saber-rattling aimed to invade the north is a criminal act of posing a threat to the destiny of the nation and wrecking the peace of the country.

Whenever the puppet warmongers kick off a frantic joint military drill, they repeat stereotyped rhetoric that it is aimed to cope with "provocation" from the north and "defend" themselves and the like.

Such saber-rattling is designed to block national unity and reunification and, furthermore, do harm to compatriots.

This was well illustrated by the recent large-scale combined air battle exercise. It was led by the puppet military and involved by the U.S. Seventh Air Force. The warmongers claimed its objective was to "make a precision strike at someone's bases for provocations" through a large-scale drill of formations of assault planes and an urgent air interception operation. This is aimed to make a preemptive surprise attack at the strategic targets of the DPRK.

The south Korean puppet forces' participation in the RIMPAC joint military drills clearly proves that they have set about playing the role of a shock force in implementing the U.S. policy of aggression against the DPRK and hurt the DPRK by force of arms in collusion with outside forces.
