More than 4,000 including members of civic and public organizations took part in the rally.

Speakers said that a lot of students undergo sufferings in despair owing to the unpopular education policy of the present authorities.

They stressed the need to end together with the Lee Myung Bak regime the present education policy which favors privileged class while inciting competitive education.

The trade union will turn out in the struggle for improvement of the situation of students and proper education, they added.
