Women's Football Match Held between DPRK, China

| Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- A friendly women's football match took place between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and China at Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang on Wednesday. The DPRK girls beat the Chinese rivals 4:0. Both countries are qualified for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup due in August this year, with four wins and one defeat in five matches on the DPRK side and with two wins, two draws and one defeat in five matches on the Chinese side in the 2011 U-19 Asian Women's Football Championship. The DPRK had taken part in the U-20 Women's World Cup several times from the Asian region, finishing first in 2006 and second in 2008. The Chinese team is planned to have three matches in Pyongyang. |
