The book advises the old-aged and middle-aged to take earthworm-made thrombus solvents for treatment of cerebral vascular disease.

The author of the book, Kim Jong Guk, section chief of the New Technology Exchange Company, told KCNA:

"The book deals with common knowledge on thrombus, its remedies, the developments of thrombus solvents, the advantages and defects of different thrombus solvents and an outline on earthworm.

It explains in a scientific yet easy way the history of using earthworm and its ingredients and pharmacological action as a thrombus solvent as well as recent extraction from earthworm for thrombus solvent and experience gained in using it.

The book also introduces a variety of medicines manufactured with earthworm and their applications, usages and cautions."
