Russia could not repress its disappointment as the statement of NATO summit asked Russia not to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and Southern Osetiya.

NATO did not take measures for preventing the tragic event in August of 2008 and deliberately disregarded information about political events in Georgia in its recent statement.

Abkhazia and Southern Osetiya are independent sovereign states no matter what other may say.
