Mt. Paektu of Korea occupies an important place among the famous mountains of Asia. There is on the mountain which lies 2,750 meters above the sea level Lake Chon, a beautiful lake.

Leader Kim Jong Il was born in a small log cabin in the area of Mt. Paektu. An endless stream of people is visiting his birthplace.
