Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This clearly indicates that the group of traitors is getting crazy in its moves to ignite a war of aggression against the north in collusion with outside forces.

The commentary says that the above-said drills were designed to cope with someone's "additional provocations" but this is sheer nonsense.

It goes on:

It is not the DPRK but the U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak group that are perpetrating provocations on the Korean Peninsula.

This time too, the U.S. mobilized an air refueling tanker, AWACS and other military hardware for the joint air battle drill. Their operational sphere is far beyond the boundary of the peninsula. It is a very serious development that the U.S. hurled the air refueling tanker and AWACS into the drill with the puppet forces. This bespeaks that the U.S. puts not only the DPRK but also the rest of Northeast Asia in the range of its air strike.

As a matter of fact, the U.S. is beefing up its armed forces in the Asia-Pacific region according to its new defence strategy whereby it shifted its military focus to the region. Its aim is to occupy the peninsula by force of arms and dominate the Asia-Pacific region with it as a springboard.

The group of traitors has frantically staged war exercises to invade the north according to the U.S. scenario.

The group is working hard to shift the responsibility for the strained situation on the peninsula on to the DPRK and, at the same time, gives full rein to the nuclear war chariot of the U.S., rendering the situation not only on the peninsula but in the rest of Asia extremely tense.

Such facts clearly prove that the U.S. and rat-like Lee group are chiefly to blame for bedeviling the inter-Korean relations and driving the situation on the peninsula and the rest of Asia to a dangerous phase.
