Preparations for Celebrations of KCU Birthday Finished
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang City is now waiting for the arrival of the delegates to the celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU), which falls on June 6, after having rounded off all preparations to host them.

All departments under the celebration preparatory committee have completed their own preparations in close relationship with relevant units.

20 000 exemplary KCU members were appointed delegates from all primary and secondary schools and their branches throughout the country, including remote mountainous villages in the northern tip of the country, villages adjacent to the Military Demarcation Line and solitary islets.

Timetables for trains, planes, ships and vehicles, due to carry the delegates to Pyongyang, have already been set.

Meanwhile, the lodging destination is ready to accommodate them. Itineraries have been scheduled in detail, with venues of celebrations face-lifted.

The city's well-known restaurants have finished a work to serve special diets exclusively for the delegates.

Preparations for celebration performances have come to an end on the highest level at national art troupes, the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and the Pyongyang Students and Children's Palace.

The Kaeson Youth Park Funfair and the Central Zoo, too, are waiting for the arrivals' visits.
