Non-smoking Research Centre
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- On the occasion of the World No-Tobacco Day (May 31), KCNA visited the Non-smoking Research Centre in Sosong District, Pyongyang

The Centre renders services on smoke quitting.

Smokers are able to know in its counsel office about the adverse effect smoking gives on human body, smoke-quitting methods and the experiences other people gained in quitting smoking.

The Centre makes visitors be aware of the harmful effects of smoking on families, society and environment through video and wall pictures.

It also sells tobacco substitutes.

The anti-smoking pill helps remove nicotine from human body to deprive a smoker of appetite for smoking. It is said one would get to lose desire for smoking three to five days after taking the pills. The pills are applicable to passive smokers, too.

Put on sale in the Centre are also no-tobacco pipes and anti-smoking gums.
