KCNA Accuses US of Stretching out Dark Tentacles to "Election" in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- A series of south Korean junkets paid by U.S. experts on Korean affairs and confabs held by them with south Korea recently are arousing great caution among Koreans of different social circles at home and abroad.

It was reported that a delegation of the House of Representatives led by the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives flew into south Korea on May 23 to be followed by experts on Korean affairs of the U.S. Centre for Strategic and International Studies and former senior bureaucrats. They separately met and held huddles with pro-U.S. conservative elements including traitor Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye.

They were reported to have cried out for "cooperation" and "joint counter-action" over someone's "nuclear and missile and human rights issues" and showed "deep concern" for "presidential election" slated to take place in south Korea in December.

Lurking behind these moves is a sinister intention of the U.S. to zealously prop up the ultra-right conservative forces in south Korea, the first line shock brigade for implementing the hostile policy towards the DPRK, and prolong the pro-U.S. conservative regime in a bid to stifle the DPRK without fail.

As well known to the world, the U.S. interference and control over the internal affairs of south Korea are nothing new.

The maintenance and replacement of the pro-U.S. puppet regime are considered as an important foreign policy issue of the U.S. Administration in strengthening the political and military domination upon south Korea, a stronghold for realizing the U.S. Asian strategy.

Accordingly, all successive south Korean puppets' assumption of office and their end are decided by the U.S.

The U.S. is still busy further increasing than ever before the tension on the Korean Peninsula, outpost for carrying out its strategy to stifle the DPRK, and, at the same time, hatching plots against the DPRK with new and old conservative forces of south Korea involved.

This is evidenced by the fact that the U.S. is stretching out its dark tentacles to the forthcoming "election" at a time when the Lee group of traitors is kicking up a whirlwind of suppression of pro-reunification progressive organizations and figures under the watchword of "eliminating the forces following the north."

It is the scenario of the U.S. to turn the political situation before the "election" favorable to the Lee group as it will be a platform to judge the present regime in south Korea so as to maintain traitor Lee's pro-U.S. policy and, at the same time, call back the departed soul of the harsh pro-U.S. dictatorship by supporting the "Saenuri Party", a group of pro-U.S. lackeys, and the daughter of "yusin" dictator as part of its intrigues.

As all facts show, genuine independence, democratization and the reunification movement in the south Korean society can hardly be expected as long as the political and military domination of the U.S. over south Korea goes on.

It is quite natural for south Korean people of various circles and youth and students to rise up in resistance, disillusioned with the Lee group of traitors' pro-U.S. and sycophantic policy.
