Minju Joson Accuses US of Conspiratorial Plots before Election
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- Political circles in south Korea are becoming more tumultuous than ever before with the "presidential" election slated to take place in December.

American experts on Korean affairs flew into south Korea one on the heels of the other against this backdrop. They included the director of the U.S. Centre for Strategic and International Studies, the chief of the room for south Korean affairs and the chief of the room for Japanese affairs of the same centre, former assistant secretaries of State, the former national security advisor of the White House, etc.

Minju Joson Friday observes in a by-lined commentary in this regard:

The above-mentioned American experts claimed the purpose of their south Korean junkets was to participate in a seminar co-sponsored by Choongang Ilbo, a south Korean paper, and the American center but this was nothing but red herring.

This was evidenced by the fact that they spent more time for sounding out the views and stances of Park Geun Hye and others tipped as "presidential candidates" on the U.S.-south Korean relations and the inter-Korean relations after meeting them than attending the seminar.

This is an indication that the U.S. has become undisguised in its moves to ensure the stay of the pro-U.S. conservative regime in power through the forthcoming election.

What matters is that the conservative forces in their accusations against the DPRK cried out for "slapping more stringent sanctions" against it with what they called deterrence, not content with renewing their pledges to "boost the strategic alliance" and "implement FTA" in a bid to please their American masters who examine their qualifications as a president.

This is a disgusting message sent to the U.S. that they just wish for "presidential office" in return for doing harm to fellow countrymen, offering whatever it wants.

Very pleased with this, the American masters said "visits were very much impressed" and recognized their worth as their cat's paws.

The conservative group, however, are sadly mistaken. It is not the U.S. but the south Korean people that have a key to victory in the election.

The U.S. and south Korean conservative group seem to have forgotten this truth.
