Russia Opposes U.S. Military Presence in Afghanistan

| Moscow, June 4 (KCNA) -- The secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation recently clarified Russia's stance against the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan. Although the U.S. claims that it has no plan to stay there for a long time, it seeks long-term stay there in actuality. He stressed that Russia will never allow it as the long-term presence of foreign forces might be used as a lever against other countries in the region. |
