He visited Panmunjom where he saw the monument to the last signature President Kim Il Sung put to a historic document for the reunification of the country in his life.

Then he looked round the Panmun Pavilion, the hall where the armistice agreement was signed, etc. He watched the concrete wall built in the areas of the south side along the Military Demarcation Line.

He also toured historic sites including the mausoleum of Wang Kon, the first king of Koryo, and Ryongthong Temple, Sonjuk Bridge and Sungyang private school.

He enjoyed a bird's-eye view of Pakyon Falls, one of the three most famous falls of Korea.

The vice-president visited the Pyongyang Cosmetic Factory and East Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1.
