S. Korean Military's Criticism of DPRK's Satellite Launch under Fire

Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet military authorities charged the DPRK with "making ceaseless provocations" and "posing a serious threat" at talks with their U.S. and Japanese counterparts in Singapore on June 2. The talk ended with a "joint statement", the core of which is to strengthen the tripartite cooperation. A bylined commentary of Rodong Sinmun on Saturday observes in this regard: The talks showed once again the traitorous nature of the Lee Myung Bak group which is intent on doing harm to its fellow countrymen by counting on foreign forces. The south Korean puppet military added voice to U.S. and Japan's repeated criticism of the DPRK's launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 as "a provocation", indicative of their sinister intentions to justify the standoff with the DPRK and bring it down in collusion with outside forces. The puppet military alleged again that "the north is likely to fire additional missiles and conduct nuclear tests". The allegation is aimed to keep the steam of the confrontation with the DPRK from running out under the pretext of the satellite launch and ratchet up sanctions and pressure on it in cahoots with the U.S. and Japan. The recent military talks prove that the Lee Myung Bak group is made up of dangerous provocateurs who have gone reckless to ignite a war against the DPRK in reliance on outside forces. Neither alliance with U.S. and Japan nor cooperation with them will help the Lee group evade collapse. |
