Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korea of Anti-DPRK "Human Rights"

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Lawmakers from the "Saenuri Party" of south Korea proposed again a "bill on human rights in the north". This is an unpardonable action to keep the inter-Korean relations indefinitely frozen and bring down the socialist system in the DPRK, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a bylined commentary: The "bill on human rights in the north" is a very disturbing conspiratorial document to tarnish the image of the DPRK by building domestic and foreign public opinion on the "human rights issue in the north" and realize its sinister scenario for achieving the "unification of the systems" in collusion with outside forces. The passing of such confrontational bill through the puppet "National Assembly" would amount to legally stipulating that south Korea does not recognize the ideology and system in the north but stands in confrontation with it. This would put the inter-Korean relations into an unpredictable catastrophe because they have already reached an extreme phase of political and military confrontation. The clan of the party asserted that the "bill on human rights in the north" would help "improve the human rights record" of someone, but their ulterior intention is to do harm to compatriots and justify the policy of confrontation, the commentary says, and goes on: What should not be overlooked is that the puppet forces kicked off the noisy "human rights" racket, timed to coincide with their campaign for "eliminating forces following the north". This goes to clearly prove that their anti-DPRK "human rights" ruckus is nothing but a cheap artifice to dodge various public circles' criticism of them, render society reactionary through their anachronistic "coloring operation" and create a terror-ridden atmosphere of suppression under the pretext of it in a bid to stamp out the progressive pro-reform forces and ensure the stay of the conservative forces in power. The group of traitors' anti-DPRK "human rights" offensive would bring it nothing but people's curse and denunciation and a stern judgment of history and the nation. |
