Park Geun Hye of the "Saenuri Party" cried out for voluntary resignation of lawmakers from the Unified Progressive Party and expulsion of them from the "National Assembly" in the wake of Lee Myung Bak's recent remarks that "the forces following the north present themselves as a more serious problem than the north", the statement noted, adding:

The prosecution, in response to the reckless remarks of Lee and Park, seized a member list of the Unified Progressive Party and is making arrangements for wholesale suppression under the pretext of investigating its election fraud.

It called for strengthening solidarity and taking joint actions for foiling the Lee regime and the "Saenuri Party's" sinister intentions to stay in power.
