S. Korean Police Authorities' Groundless Suppression of Progressive Figure under Fire
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- South Korean police authorities are suppressing Paek Ki Wan, director of the Institute for Reunification of south Korea, finding fault with his just activities, according to south Korean internet paper Genuine World on June 7.

The police authorities issued summons to Paek five times on charges of "disobeying order and disturbing general traffic" for the mere reason that he took part in a rally in protest against the conclusion of the "Free Trade Agreement" with the U.S. in December last year and a memorial service for workers of Ssangyong Motors who grievously lost their lives due to the murderous and forced dismissal in May this year, etc.

They are threatening that they will arrest him in case he fails to comply with their summons.

Paek Ki Wan declared that he would never yield to the authorities' demand but fight to the last against the Lee Myung Bak regime's illegal and inhuman suppression of him as it is an infringement upon the basic rights of citizens.
