The conservative ruling forces including Lee Myung Bak and the "Saenuri Party" have gone desperate to separate and disorganize the progressive parties and break the solidarity of the opposition camp in the wake of the prosecution's forceful search of the building of the Unified Progressive Party in May, the statement said, and went on:

Through the case the conservative ruling quarters are trying to put under control the ruling foundation driven into the crisis owing to corruption, irregularities and traitorous politics, and build a bridgehead for remaining in power.

The progressive forces should closely unite and decisively frustrate the conservative forces' campaign of eliminating the "forces following the north" and the moves to separate the opposition camp.

The progressive and democratic forces must target Lee Myung Bak and the "Saenuri Party" and form a strong united front.

The progressive forces should resolutely fight against the coloring offensive and suppression by the conservative forces under the pretence of "security" with united strength for the "government" change desired by the people in the upcoming "presidential" election."
