The joint declarations clarify the independent stand of the Korean nation to solve all the issues arising in accomplishing the cause of national reunification with the nation responsible for it, the article notes, and goes on:

"By the Korean nation itself", the idea of national independence, has served as mental nutrition for all Koreans at home and abroad in their efforts to advance the movement for national reunification along the orbit of independence without the slightest deviation.

In the course of embodying the idea, the Korean nation came to have the firm conviction that the implementation of the joint declarations is the only way of thoroughly rejecting outsiders' interference in the issue of Korea's reunification and achieving independent reunification, peace and prosperity.

The inter-Korean declarations paved a wide avenue for Koreans to pool their wisdom and strength irrespective of ideology and social system.

Differing ideologies and social systems have existed within the Korean nation for decades. However, the implementation of the joint declarations helped wipe out mistrust and misunderstanding and unprecedentedly give momentum to the atmosphere of reconciliation and unity.

The Koreans have keenly realized in practice that there is nothing impossible for the north and the south if they get united close for national reunification under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration. Through this the Koreans came to have conviction that there is no reason whatsoever for the north and the south to live separated from each other and stand in confrontation and that they can surely achieve unity and reunification when they place the interests common to the nation above anything else irrespective of all differences.

Solidarity and alliance have grown stronger than ever before among the reunification movement organizations in the north, south and abroad based on the idea of "By our nation itself" and the movement for national reunification has turned into a nationwide patriotic movement. This provides a guarantee for solving the issue of the country's reunification by concerted efforts of the Koreans.

Entirely just is the patriotic struggle being waged by all Koreans to preserve and carry out the joint declarations after defining their implementation as a target of actions common to the nation.

Unquenchable is the desire of all Koreans to support and implement the joint declarations.
