DPRK to Compete in Group C in 2012 U-20 Women's World Cup

| Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea belongs to Group C together with Argentina, Canada and Norway, according to the drawing results for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. It will meet Norway on Aug. 20, Argentina on Aug. 23 and Canada on Aug. 27. 16 nations are to compete for the world cup. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Aug. 30-31, semi-finals Sept. 4 and finals Sept. 8. The DPRK was the runner-up in the 2011 U-19 Asian Women's Football Championship. It finished first in the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and second in 2008. The DPRK girls are stepping up preparations for the tournament, having matches with teams of different countries. |
