Latest war equipment including MLRS deployed after the shelling on Yonphyong Island and more than 4 000 marines were mobilized in the exercise one year after the formation of the Command for Defense of Islands in Northwest Sea.

They fired shells in the exercise allegedly aimed to prevent "infiltration" from the DPRK.
