Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- No matter how rapidly the international situation may change and how desperately the imperialists may work, nothing can bar the DPRK from advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism, says Rodong Sinmun on Saturday in a bylined article. The imperialists and their followers are further intensifying their moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK than ever before, the article notes, adding: The army and people of the DPRK fully demonstrated the invincibility of socialism during the Arduous March when the U.S. imperialists reached an extreme phase in blockading it. Even under the hard living conditions they united closer around the party and further consolidated Korean-style socialism than ever before despite ordeals. The DPRK emerged a dignified nuclear weapons state and satellite launcher. It is now loudly sounding the industrial revolution in the new century. Despite the unimaginable test in 2011, the army and people of the DPRK firmly defended with arms the beloved motherland which was liberated by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il brought into bloom as the noblest gains of the revolution. The harmonious whole of the leader, the party, the army and the people serves as a fundamental cornerstone of the DPRK's state political system and the roots of its society as well as a source of all achievements and miracles. All service personnel and people are united close with absolute trust in the great leaders and faith in the sure victory of socialism. This is the picture of socialism in the DPRK. Based on this political foundation, the DPRK society has turned into an impregnable fortress which does not allow any plot of the imperialists to destabilize it. There is a limit to the destructive power of a nuclear weapon. But the mental power of the popular masses united close in thinking and purpose is inexhaustible. It is just like running one's head against a wall for the U.S. and its followers to try to stifle the DPRK, the article concludes. |
