Peaceful Reunification through Concerted Efforts of Koreans Called for

| Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The Ansan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration staged a march for reunification in Kyonggi Province on June 9 to mark the 12th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration. It was participated in by at least 1 000 citizens from all walks of life. The secretary general of the organization said that the inter-Korean relations are steadily deteriorating owing to the present "government's" moves to escalate the confrontation with compatriots, hoping that the event would mark an occasion of giving momentum to the desire for peace and reunification. The participants marched, holding placards bearing slogans for achieving peaceful reunification by the concerted efforts of the Koreans. |
