Rodong Sinmun Slams Japan's Attempt to Purchase F-35

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Japan's attempt to purchase F-35 is a vivid expression of its wild ambition to turn it into a military giant and invade other countries, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a bylined article. It goes on: The Japanese authorities are set to use this type fighter as a mainstay of the Air "Self-Defense Force" of Japan in the future. This is prompted by their intention to hold military and technological edge and military hegemony in Asia-Pacific. Japan seeks to play a main role in the joint military operations with the U.S. for launching overseas invasion and gain an equal status in the Japan-U.S. military relationship instead of master-servant relations. Japan's final goal is to reinvade the Asian continent. Such action of Japan may upset the military equilibrium in Northeast Asia. Various countries of Asia are, therefore, expressing concern about Japan's projected purchase of ultramodern stealth fighter. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, Japan cites "threats" from the DPRK and its neighboring countries. As seen above, however, threat comes from Japan. It is the revolutionary spirit of the army and people of the DPRK to react to the use of force in kind. Japan would be well advised to behave itself, well aware that its moves to convert itself into a military giant and realize its wild ambition for overseas invasion will lead to its self-destruction. |
