Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration Called for

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Members of the Taejon Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and other civic and public organizations, citizens and students in Taejon, south Korea held a rally in Taejon on June 2 to mark the 12th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration.

At the rally speakers said that the Korean nation divided into two should become one without fail.

We cannot hand the divided country to posterity, they noted, calling for achieving the reunification of the country through positive actions.

The rally was followed by a marathon race held to mark the anniversary.

Prior to the start of the marathon race, the full text of the June 15 joint declaration was read out.

Running 6.15 km, the participants in the marathon race hardened their determination to achieve the reunification of the nation by implementing the joint declaration despite the present regime's moves to escalate confrontation against reunification.
