Under the wise leadership and loving care of the party and the leader the shock brigade has performed feats in sprucing up sacred places of the revolution and carrying out major projects over the last 12 years.

Its members completed the projects for sprucing up revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites including the Monument to Victory in Battles in Musan Area under hard natural conditions in alpine area in the northern part of the country and under the situation where everything was in short supply.

They constructed and renovated the Paektu Museum, the Cultural Hall of Samjiyon County, hundreds of public buildings and houses for thousands of families and built roads of hundreds of km and many bridges.

They completed the Samsu Power Station with a large dam built with sand and stone in a matter of little over two years as a monumental structure.

They performed feats in the construction of fruit farms.

They rushed to Kosan County in 2009 and concentrated efforts on carrying out a large-scale land realignment project. They removed a large quantity of earth, turning a total of more than 1 800 hectares of land into orchards.

Trench-like hollows with a total length of over 2 400km were dug, at least 100 000 props produced and millions of fruit trees planted.

Tens of km of roads and waterways stretching to all directions appeared, various structures were built in over 200 places and hundreds of dwelling houses and public buildings were constructed.

The project for expanding the capacity of the Kosan Fruit Farm is making rapid progress.

Signal successes were also reported from members of the shock brigade undertaking the construction project at the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm. They wrought miracles every day in the wake of the fulfillment of their assignments for land realignment, fruit tree planting and a pig farm construction.

They laid a foundation for completing ahead of schedule the projects including the Central Tree Nursery.

They are demonstrating indomitable mental power in the efforts to create something out of nothing in hearty response to the call of the Workers' Party of Korea.
