Foreign Papers Mark Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at WPK

Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Chile and Egypt carried articles to mark the 48th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. The June issue of Chilean paper Remolino Popular said in an article titled "Road followed by the DPRK" that highlight in the history of modern DPRK is the struggle for independence, adding the DPRK will never retreat from the road of independence. The world has admired the invincibility of Korean-style socialism and paid respects to the DPRK that has maintained socialism, the article said. It stressed the Korean people will keep to the path of independence, Songun and socialism following their top leader Kim Jong Un. Egyptian paper Al-Misaiya on June 6 in an article titled "Songun politics and Korean Peninsula" said Kim Jong Il formulated the Songun politics as a basic political mode under socialism. Kim Jong Il trained the service personnel of the People's Army into a-match-for-a hundred fighters and directed great efforts into developing the national defence industry under the uplifted banner of Songun, the article noted. Kim Jong Il established the traits of attaching importance to the military affairs in the society and encouraged the service persons and people to turn out in a struggle for defending socialism, it added. It noted even though the U.S. and its followers frequently stage war rehearsals in the Korean Peninsula to increase tensions, they can not disturb the peace in the region as long as the DPRK pursues the Songun politics. Korea is sure to be reunified under the banner of Songun, concluded the article. |
