The declaration is a cornerstone of the development of the north-south relations and a great programme for Korea's reunification that indicates the basic idea and fundamental principles for achieving national reconciliation, unity and reunification as well as ways for carrying them out, said the statement, adding:

The movement for reunification that had made good progress after the adoption of the declaration met serious challenges since the conservative forces took power in south Korea.

After taking office, the Lee Myung Bak clique totally denied the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and refused to implement them, thus pushing the north-south relations that had favorably developed to the lowest ebb.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un expressed his willingness to join hands with any one who truly wants the reunification of the country and the peace and prosperity of the nation.

The Thailand-DPRK Friendship Association is firmly convinced that the cause of reunification of Korea will surely be accomplished by Kim Jong Un.
