The Lee Myung Bak fascist regime searched the building of the Unified Progressive Party and confiscated the list of its party members, the joint statement said, adding this is the height of its hooliganism and is aimed at doing harm to progressive political parties and staying in power.

South Korea has turned into a dark land under the sway of fascism in which human rights are ruthlessly trampled down by the scandal-ridden Lee regime, it said.

All the facts clearly prove that the Lee regime is just like the Park Chung-Hee and Syngman Rhee puppet regimes, it noted, and continued:

Progressive mankind should properly see through the true colors of Lee Myung Bak, a fascist dictator and pro-U.S. lackey.

It urged the Lee regime to stop suppression of the Unified Progressive Party, set free immediately the arrested pro-reunification patriots including Rev. Han Sang Ryol and abolish the "Security Law".
