Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean Conservative Media's Anti-DPRK Smear Campaign

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) --The south Korean paper Chosun Ilbo recently claimed "the north purchased military uniforms dog-cheap" and ridiculously linked this with expenses for the celebrations of the Day of the Sun. Yonhap News craftily played down the DPRK's popular policy for the children, asserting that this is the "trend" of other country, etc. South Korean Economic Daily also slandered the DPRK by reprinting a false story dealing with the reunion of separated families and relatives carried by a pseudo-medium operated by human scum who betrayed their homeland. Rodong Sinmun on Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: Absolutely intolerable are the south Korean conservative media's acts of persistently rattling the nerves of the DPRK and driving the north-south relations into a total collapse through false propaganda under the wire-pulling of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors. What the conservative media trumpeted is very disturbing outbursts intended to undermine the socialist system and single-mined unity of the DPRK and quell the south Korean people's desire for achieving reunification through alliance with the north as they are part of the evermore noisy campaign of the Lee group to escalate the confrontation of the social systems. It is ridiculous, indeed, for Lee, tight-cornered after being hit hard from all sides, to divert public attention elsewhere and seek a way out by setting the conservative media in motion. The tongue wounds more than a lance. The DPRK has already declared its stand to mercilessly blow up the dens of the hideous provocateurs hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and doing harm to its ideology, social system and people by spreading all sorts of lies and misinformation. The conservative media had better stop running wild, cogitating about the serious consequences to be entailed by such ceaseless provocations to the DPRK as malignant mud-slinging. |
