Exploits Performed by Kim Jong Il in Party Building Praised Abroad

Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries and by a regional organization to mark the 48th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. They included meetings, lectures, round-table talks and seminars on Kim Jong Il's exploits held in Romania, Guinea, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Peru, Germany and Cambodia between May 29 and June 12. The chairman of the Romanian Socialist Union gave a detailed account of the fact that Kim Jong Il developed the Workers' Party of Korea into an invincible revolutionary party. Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, said though Kim Jong Il passed away, his exploits in the party building would last forever along with the WPK. The chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea referred to the single-minded unity of the DPRK cemented by Kim Jong Il. The secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, Union of Myanmar said the WPK has always won victories and the DPRK could turn into a dignified political, ideological and military power under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. The international secretary of the Communist Party of Peru "Red Motherland", the organizational secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru, the president of the General Kim Jong Il Peruvian Amicable Institute and the secretary general of the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship said the WPK is a glorious party that holds Kim Jong Il in high esteem as its eternal general secretary and a model of the progressive political parties in the struggle for socialism. Osieno Stephen, executive advisor to the general secretary of the Pan-African Movement, praised Kim Jong Il as a prominent leader who protected the dignity and vital interests of the country and turned the DPRK into a nuclear weapons state under the uplifted banner of Songun. |
