Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korean Regime of Its Moves to Enact "Law on Human Rights in North"

Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean conservative forces are working hard to muscle "bill on human rights in the north" through the 19th "National Assembly" at any cost, saying that it is regretful that the 18th NA failed to pass the bill due to the rejection of the opposition parties. Meanwhile, the "Saenuri Party" is kicking up an anti-DPRK farce over the "human rights issue" through a conspiratorial "coloring" offensive, labeling opposition party figures opposed to the "bill" as "forces following the north".

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

It is preposterous for the south Korean "government" authorities to go busy with its moves to enact the "law" though it is branded as a strangler of democracy and the worst abuser of human rights

The ulterior aim sought by the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors in seeking the "law" is to bring down the ideology and the social system in the DPRK under the signboard of "human rights issue" and realize its daydream of "achieving unification of the social systems".

If the "bill" is railroaded through the NA, this will be little short of an open declaration that the "Saenuri Party" does not recognize the ideology and the social system in the DPRK and it intends to stand in confrontation with it to the last.

The north-south relations are in the worst phase of catastrophe.

The desperate efforts of the puppet conservative group to enact such "law" under this situation can never be overlooked.

It is strong determination of the DPRK not to allow even a bit those who challenge the ideology and the social system in the DPRK which its people consider dearer than their own lives, but mercilessly punish them.

The puppet forces would be well advised to stop at once such moves, bearing deep in mind that those moves are as foolish an act as precipitating their doomsday.
