Italian President Reiterates Stand for Development of Relations with DPRK

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- It is the consistent stand of the Italian government to invariably develop relations with the DPRK. Giorgio Napolitano, president of Italy, said this on June 19 when he received credentials from DPRK Ambassador to his country Kim Chun Guk.

The president said he was satisfied with the bilateral relations that have developed on good term in the political, economic, cultural and other fields.

Peace in Northeast Asia including the Korean Peninsula is an issue of great interest to the Italian government, he said, hoping the DPRK would make positive efforts for the regional security in the future, too.
