Kim Jong Il's Feats in Party Building Praised by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers carried special write-ups to mark the 48th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Indian paper New Delhi Times on June 12 said that he performed great feats while leading the WPK for nearly half a century.

It went on:

He made sure that the WPK was strengthened with the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung as the only guidelines and the tradition of unity and cohesion was glorified.

One of the distinguished feats he performed in party building was that he built the WPK into the genuine motherly party serving the people.

The Indian paper Indian and World Event also dedicated an article to the anniversary on June 15.

The Bangladeshi paper Ekota on June 14 noted that epochal changes took place in the DPRK since Kim Jong Il started work at the WPK Central Committee.

The Nepali paper Jana Sata on June 9 said:

Leader Kim Jong Il put forward the programme on modeling the whole party on the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung and energetically led the struggle for implementing it, thus consolidating the party as firm as a rock into the ideologically and organizationally integral whole that moves according to the one leadership system centered on the same idea.

He led the WPK along the road of socialism despite the imperialists' moves against socialism in the 1990s, the paper added.

The Nigerian paper Nigerian Observer on June 7 carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il's feats in developing WPK".
