WPK History Introduced by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers carried special-write-ups to mark the 48th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Lao papers Pasason, Vatelao, Congtap Pasason Lao and Heng Ngan on June 19 carried articles titled "On the occasion of 48th anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Party Central Committee" and "Fluttering flag of WPK" with portraits of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The papers said that he strenuously carried out the party work with iron faith and will, regarding it as his lifelong mission to strengthen the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung.

The history of the WPK is a brilliant course in which it has constantly advanced, invariably holding the banner of socialism.

The Indonesian paper Suara Karya on the same day said that the WPK has achieved firm unity in thinking and purpose and in terms of moral obligation on the basis of one idea and center under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, and is giving full play to its might as the guiding force.

The Ugandan paper Sun Rise on June 18 devoted its one whole page to special write-ups with the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The paper said he clearly indicated a way of the progressive people of the world to build a free and peaceful new society, opposing domination, subjugation, aggression and war, and wisely led the struggle to realize it.
