Japanese Reactionaries Accused of Their Moves to Revive Militarism

Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- More than ten sooty-faced soldiers of the Japan Ground "Self-Defence Force" with field bags on their back and rifles and bayonets marched through streets of Itabashi and Nerima wards of Tokyo on June 12. DPRK major paper Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: This odd happening reminds one of the eve of a war. It indicates what a dangerous phase Japan has reached in reviving militarism. Japan's militarism has so far been veiled with watchwords of "peace" and "security". But it is now working in real earnest to revive it, discarding the veil. The revival of militarism is a long-cherished political ambition of the Japanese reactionaries. It is the scenario of Japan to emerge an ordinary state with the right to participate in a war, the right of belligerency and the right to have regular armed forces, like before its defeat at World War II, and thus realize its old dream of "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" without fail. To this end, the Japanese reactionaries have long sped up their preparations to turn Japan into a military giant and revive militarism, pulling the wool over the eyes of the international community. All arrangements have already been made in secret for becoming a war state. What remains to be done by the Japanese reactionaries is to eliminate all the institutional and social hurdles in the way of realizing overseas expansion. It is as clear as noonday that the whole of Tokyo will be disturbed by the march of 100 000, nay one million battle-ready soldiers though just more than ten saber-rattlers staged such ruckus there recently. The Japanese reactionaries will perish in the flames kindled by themselves if they finally opt for reinvasion, defying the opposition of the international community and the public to Japan's militarism. Then it will testify to the lesson taught by history. |
