S. Korean Freight Workers' Solidarity Calls for Right to Existence
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- The Freight Workers' Solidarity of the Transport Workers' Union under the Confederation of Trade Unions of south Korea launched an indefinite general strike for the right to existence on June 25, according to south Korean MBC.

More than 300 000 unionists under the organization took part in the strike.

Railway, airport and port trade unions supported the Freight Workers' Solidarity, clarifying their stand to refuse the authorities' demand to transport freight to substitute those now on a strike.

Meanwhile, the authorities openly disclosed their attempt at suppression, threatening to punish the strikers ranging from the suspension of license to criminal punishment.
