Chinese People Laud DPRK Opera "The Flower Girl" as World Masterpiece

Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- "The Flower Girl", the DPRK's revolutionary opera, which is on in China is evoking great response among the Chinese audience. The Chinese audience was greatly excited to see the opera that was staged in the Lanzhou Grand Theater and the Chongqing Grand Theater of Gansu Province. Zhou Lining, vice-mayor of Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, after appreciating the opera said that he was deeply moved by the arts of the DPRK. Vice-manager of a company He Ying noted that he was carried away by the beautiful voices and fascinating and attractive dances of the DPRK artistes. Tang Fangmei, manager of a company in Chongqing, said in the excited tone that the acting of the artistes was vivid and their dances mesmerized the audience. Li Xiaorong, manager of a commercial unit in Chongqing, noted that he could not repress admiration at the stage arts, adding that such an elaborate stage decor can be seen only in the operas of the DPRK. Tian Mei, manager of a factory in Chongqing, said that he saw the feature film of the DPRK "The Flower Girl" in the 1970s and was deeply impressed with the film and so was he with the opera this time, adding that he has never seen such an excellent opera. Yang Hong, vice news editor of a magazine, noted that the opera is a world masterpiece, and he has already known that the opera is one of the five revolutionary operas of the DPRK, adding that he is anxious to visit the DPRK to watch those five operas. |
