It was thanks to the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration provided by leader Kim Jong Il that all Koreans in the north, south and abroad could start joint actions to put an end to the history of national division and usher in a new era of national reconciliation, unity, peace and reunification, the statement said, and went on:

The ultra-right conservative group of south Korea including traitor Lee Myung Bak and conservative media leveled gun at the compatriots in the north who were suffering the greatest loss to the nation, malignantly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and spoke ill of the celebrations of the Day of the Sun and the 66th anniversary of the Korean Children's Union. These thrice-cursed crimes touched off towering resentment of all the Koreans.

The Koreans in China will turn out in the vigorous drive to implement the joint declaration.

We condemn the DPRK-targeted joint military exercises and arms buildup now under way across south Korea and will pool efforts in the sacred struggle to frustrate them.

We will shatter the attempt of knocking into shape the triangular military alliance for aggression among the U.S., Japan and south Korea as it gravely threatens peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia. We will also pull the U.S. forces, the prime mover of national division and main source of all misfortune and pains, out of south Korea and thus root out the source of war from Korea.
