The Indonesian paper The First Times carried an article titled "June 15 for reunification" on June 14. It said that the joint declaration reflecting the desire of the nation for reunification was published in Korea thanks to the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The joint declaration calls for achieving the reunification of the country and the co-prosperity of the nation in the basic idea of "By the Korean nation itself", the article noted, and went on:

The joint declaration aroused full support and sympathy of the whole Korean nation. After the publication of the declaration the north and the south made common achievements in various fields in their efforts to give priority to the desire of the fellow countrymen and the interests of the nation.

The October 4 declaration, the programme for implementing the joint declaration, was adopted in 2007, opening up a brighter prospect for achieving the Korean nation's cause of reunification. But the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea has totally denied the joint declarations agreed between the north and the south since it came to power.

The south Korean people are now cursing the Lee group, which has plunged the north-south relations to complete deadlock and created an atmosphere of war on the Korean Peninsula.

There are increasing voices abroad for supporting the joint declarations and calling for their implementation.

The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK on June 12 posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "Immovable banner for Korea's reunification". It said the joint declarations were adopted between the north and the south of Korea, opening up a bright prospect for reunification.

Laying bare the crimes the Lee group committed by deliberately straining the tension on the Korean Peninsula as a henchman of the U.S., the article stressed there is no other way but to implement the joint declarations for the reunification of Korea.
